Abstract
In my animation project, I have explored the Color Theory of Love, how 3D animation acts as an art form and critical act, the rituals and myths of the East and West, the floriography of sakura, as well as the form of Chinese characters. I researched the above topics and combined them into my work to bring an important perspective that we should all not forget. Nothing is everlasting and we never know when our lives will end. If there ought to be an end, then let us not leave any regrets and treasure the people we love and those who love us.
Description
The man wanted the girl to marry him, but the girl has her own concerns and doubts. She had no idea that the day she finally wanted to accept his proposal is the last day of their lives. They went to the Death Realm, there standing an old lady telling them that they need to reincarnate. The man did his last proposal to the girl, and at last they made a difficult choice.
Artist Statement
My animation work is mostly based on the colour wheel theory of love proposed by John Alan, the rituals and myths from different places, as well as the Cantonese dialect that I grew up with. There are different types of love in life and no matter which love relationship we are in, I would like to encourage everyone not to give up easily on what and who we love. Nothing is everlasting and we never know when our lives will end, so through my work, I would like to explore the values of time, life and love.
