Abstract
The project is aimed to express how nowadays social situation have affected on families in Hong Kong. It also aimed to kind of cure people with emotional problems when bad things happen. I hope that the work can bring out awareness to people caring more their families mental state.
The work is a combination of me and my friend ‘ family status.
Artist Statement
HOME TOUR is a staged recreation of what happening to me and my family this year. The work contains emotion from the argument, fight to reconcile on each family member in my home. By expressing my experience/story via the artwork to others, I hope to bring out awareness to people taking good care of their mental health. The moment when I brainstorm the entire idea to build up the whole project help strengthened the bond between me and my family.
In my work, I choose to use a three dimensional form to present my story. I am hoping people can see this as my visual diary recording all the good and bad things that happened. Audiences can peek into the “my home” to see what actually is happening and find clues from details.
